Today we said our vows. Or, signed a lease rather. There was a lot of anticipation leading up to this big moment and I will say the satisfaction found was exactly how I’d always imagined. I have come to believe that finding a house and finding a husband are practically one in the same…

Steps to finding the perfect house:
1. Get over the perfect dream house in your mind and remember we are college students.
2. Look around at all the houses, ALL over
3. Set up appointments to learn a little more about the houses. See multiple houses. Some all in one day.
4. Fall in love with a little house named Petunia and be heartbroken when the girls say there is not way you can live there next year. You then begin to get desperate.
5. Have the house you wanted all along be available. See the house in its entirety and realize you would be happy to be its tenant for the next two years.

Steps to finding the perfect husband:
1. Get over the fact that boys have cooties.
2. Begin to notice how good looking boys are and develop crushes on all of them.
3. Impulsively start dating and jump from boy to boy kissing a few in the process.
4. Fall in love and think it’s the real deal only to find the guy is not right for you at all and you are left heartbroken. This is the first time you find yourself vulnerable.
5. See the current man you are dating for everything he is and realize you couldn't imagine yourself happier than as his wife for the rest of your life.

One great day we fell in love. We knew the first time we ever laid eyes on the Mell Street house that it was the one. One crucial downfall: the house only had room for three and there were five of us, so we had to continue looking. The months of looking were so frustrating and discouraging, but all we knew to do was get on our knees and pray to the Lord and trust Him. It wasn’t easy. For that matter we didn’t think it was going to work out but literally at the very last moment, everything fell into place. Things do work out the way God has planned and that is something we are so thankful for. We are now owners of a wonderful golden French-styled house with ivy growing up the walls that resides at 145 Mell Street and we six girls could not be happier. Now it only needs a name…
