mark proposed to amy and despite all the awkward comments I've made concerning the two of them over the past four years, she said yes. we are all so excited for them and looking forward to the wedding. next may in asheville?
how it happened was a special weekend. mark called me a few weeks prior inviting me to go to charleston with he and amy to visit the heubers. no, he did not want us there while he asked, but did want us there to celebrate it afterwards. mark took amy on a walk on the beach to propose and while they were gone, the house turned into party planning central. bobby and lauren were carrying tables and chairs everywhere (lauren while also carrying burns in a baby bourne.) above is where we ate dinner together that night. I cannot remember a time when it's just been the three of us. we have a close extended family who gets together often and two parents who definitely don't like being left out of the mix. but it was so wonderful laughing and spending time with just the kids again.
