I hate the idea of an over-commercialized christmas and I intentionally skip that section in all the stores right now. but then I see pictures from anthropologie and jcrew catalogs of all that splendor and a part of me caves to my stubbornness and I decide to turn on mariah carey’s all I want for christmas and start scrambling to find my copy of the grinch (the jim carey version of course).

and I start to get excited about spending christmas with my family. these were back before there were little munchkins added to our family and a fiance. gosh I love the family additions and cooking for christmas morning breakfast.

so far my christmas list consists of a barbour jacket and frye paige boots. but seeing as though we’ve still got halloween and thanksgiving (my favorite holiday) to get through, I’ve got some time to add a few things.
