annie and sara were so sweet to want to make this friday special and throw a halloween party for the kids. I told the girls yesterday that they couldn’t come with me to the mall because I was going to get them a surprise (halloween decor and a pumpkin to carve--and I might continue to say things like this because when I got home they had cleaned my room. and by clean I mean make my bed, hang up all my clothes and put away my shoes and sweep my floor. yes, I have now hired a cleaning service run by a 4 and 6 year old). after seeing the girls scream and dance around the house for 20 minutes when they got witch’s costumes in the mail this week (and by freak out it’s the jumping up and down on the chairs and acting like zoo animals--the way they do when their parents say they can have ice cream,) I knew they were going to love the party. we dressed up squeezed into their costumes (I was tinker bell in a first grader’s outfit and had such a bad wedgie, had I looked in the mirror, I may have seen 4 butt cheeks.) we had our costumes hiding under our jackets until we got to lucy’s school and had their witches hats for them to put on. I kid you not, josephine and lucy grabbed annie and sara’s hands and skipped down the street while I lagged behind with emile, the plump pumpkin. it was the cutest thing! the party was great and when we told josephine the halloween party was over, she went upstairs and changed into her dance leotard so we could start the dance party. so now we have our next party theme. while this year’s friday of georgia-florida was quite a little bit different than last, we still got to dress up and we get to watch the game tomorrow from paris! happy halloween everybody, and go dawgs!
