in our documentary photography class we had to pick a focus for a semester long project. I've been taking tons of pictures since I moved to france and have finally achieved that feeling that professor johnson talked about-- feeling like something is missing when my camera isn’t over my shoulder. I wanted to have a more concrete project of sorts as a mini series in addition to the personal pictures I enjoy taking. I’ve decided to concentrate on the contrast of light and darkness and the way they combine together-- the juxtaposition of light in the city of light. here’s the start.
