I spent the better part of last night lying in bed, awake. quite a frustrating thing for a girl who values sleep as highly as I do. but I’m in the mood for lots of projects and once I thought of one thing my mind moved on to another. the progression went something like this...

a significant bit of it was spent thinking about wall paint colors because I’m going to make time in the next two weeks to paint my bathroom.I’m thinking a light shade of sky blue. (this one looks so light, I feel like I can hardly even see it on my computer screen)

the painting of my bathroom led me to think about the closet wall that I tend to ALWAYS talk about. for it I’m thinking a light chocolately brown color. terrible description, I know. but I do love the walls that are covered like the one below.

so today I think I’m going to print out things like this old map

and the tibi girls I’ve mentioned before and have them framed.

and then there is this disaster. before christmas break I started painting these three places above my mantle with the gray from my dresser and bookshelf to make the room come together a bit more. it’s finished but looks awful and I keep neglecting it.

I had plans to paint a design like this on it, only much smaller since the space is smaller. but that seems like too much of a hassle for a place I’m not going to live indefinitely.

so the solution is paper. and plus I like this much better anyways. so now I am searching for paper with small floral patters in lilac and navy. this one is absolutely perfect. so if you’ve seen it or see something like it, please let me know!

I found this one from paper source but just don’t love it nearly as much though it does fit my request pretty well.

in the meantime I am searching for a cool jug/vase/jar to turn into a lamp. perhaps with a patterned lampshade on top?
