I read about a burger truck, cantine california, on goop before anderson visited, and I decided it was a must while she was here. we tracked back and forth between opera and pyramids metro stop in the freezing cold, thanks to my lack of looking up specific directions, and practically sniffed it out in the end. I took annie and sara this past weekend and I think it’s safe to say it might enter our weekly rotation, which is fine because I told the people after my first visit that it was going to become awkward how often they would see me.
they have a menu full of intricate burger combinations, tacos, fries, and cupcakes-- all things we are pretty much connoisseurs of-- and it’s probably the most delicious place I’ve eaten in paris. everything is super fresh and has the american tastes, like sauces dripping with each bite, that we’ve missed in a lot of things here, especially mexican. the owner, jordan, moved here from san francisco and all the staff are super friendly and fun. and they have things like dr. pepper and play awesome music the whole time. they also have an incredible cookbook with beautiful photography, great fonts and good recipes (in french) that’s for sale on amazon so you should check it out! hahah can you tell I’m obsessed or what??
